Paige's 22nd Birthday

Paige turned 22 today, but we celebrated her birthday yesterday. Lexi helped Grandma Margie with the party planning and preparations. They went grocery shopping and Lexi informed Grandma that they needed flowers for the table and a birthday balloon. She also helped make calzone for dinner and red velvet cake for dessert. I'd say that they pulled off a great birthday dinner.

Church with Grandma

This morning, Lexi went to church with Grandma Margie. I snapped a few photos before they left. I have been quite frustrated with the kids' church program here. I think it is the worst run primary I've ever seen. The nursery is even worse. In stead of getting myself worked up, I decided to take Jordan for a long walk on the beach. We had fun and Lexi enjoyed some one on one time with Grandma.

Best Friend

Have you noticed a new theme for the posts on Lexi's blog? Yes - Travis. It pretty much reflects real life. She is thoroughly enjoying him. In fact, whenever we go anywhere, she wants to go home to play with him. I guess dogs are a girl's best friend.

Dog Beach

Yesterday, we went to Dog Beach with Papa Malcolm and Travis. It was low tide, so we had fun playing in the puddles and shallow water. Lexi wanted to run and run with Travis.

New Dog

Last Saturday, a new dog joined our household. Someone from Papa Malcolm's church gave it to us because his 12 year old step-daughter wasn't taking care of it like she promised. Travis is a little over a year old and quite active. He is also very good natured and tries hard to please. With care and plenty of exercise, he has become quite a good dog. The kids are even getting use to him, well Lexi is.

The Cove

The kids and I went down to the Cove on Sunday afternoon. They have live music and lots of activies going on. We even saw a wedding on the beach.

Hi from California

We really are here, despite my lack of posts. I have tried to catch up a little and plan to do this more regularly.

Return to Sea World San Diego

I realize that I haven't posted any photos of our time in San Diego yet. Life is just too hectic. We have been squeezing in the fun though. In fact, we've been to Sea World three times (for a few hours each time). Here are our pictures from last Friday evening and Saturday morning:

Silly Faces with Friends

On one of our last evenings in Texas, some friends stopped by to say goodbye. Lexi and Jordan had fun playing with the twins in the backyard. They are really going to miss them.
