Typhoon Texas

We went to Typhoon Texas today with a bunch of friends from church. We all had friends in our age group. Lexi had fun with Eliza, Rachel, and Elizabeth.

Cinco Water Park

We met our friends at the local water park this evening. I ordered pizzas and we had dinner there too. It was a great end of the day.

Summer is coming and Miriam's time with us is winding down. We had a busy day planned, but I realized that we need to squeeze in a trip to our neighborhood water park. Miriam should get to enjoy as much warm weather time as possible before heading back to Montana (where it is still snowing). We will also be traveling a lot this summer and will not spend as much time at the water park as usual.

I happened to get a great video of Lexi doing a flip off of the diving board. Her hair might have been the best part.

Alma in town with his Kids

My brother, Alma, has his 20th high school reunion next weekend. He came with his kids and is going to be with us this entire week. I took the week off so we can have lots of fun. The arrived today and we headed to the water park so the fun can start right away. Above is a picture of Corbin, Eden, Lexi and Jordan.

We have been spending SOOO much time at swim team that we've been neglecting the fun swimming. Today, I took them to the neighborhood water park.

Weekends at the Pool

A few of the pools in our neighborhood have now opened on the weekends including our favorite one - the water park.  I took the kids there today.  It was still a bit too chilly though.  I didn't get in the water and they only lasted about an hour.  Cooler weather in May is a rare thing in Houston.  We'll just have to appreciate it for now since the summer heat will be here soon enough.

Labor Day with Dad

Lexi and Jordan spent last night and today with their dad. He took them to Pirates Bay, which is a water park. 

Last Weekday Before School

Lexi and Jordan have had so much fun this summer at the water parks.  They really are at their finest when we are at one of them.  They swim, buddy around, dive, play games, and are the best of friends.  Now, I guess you know why we go so often.  I can't even think of one argument or scuffle they've had at the pools.  Our time at home is a different story.  They have their moments, but swimming causes unsurpassed behavior.    It also wears them out for the rest of the day and helps them sleep better.  I'll truly miss this...

This is our last week of having the pools open during the week.  School starts next week and all of the life guards are high school kids.

New Water Park

While we were in California, our HOA opened a new water park.  We were very excited to give it a try today.  It has two big slides that dump into a pool.  It also has a play feature in the pool area.  It was a big hit and the kids got nice & tired.
