I felt like doing something a little different with Lexi's hair today. She was not happy about it. She thought it looked horrible and decided to pout about it. I told her she had to go to school like that anyway. My mom told her that she really liked it, which helped. By the time Lexi got home from school, she decided she liked it. I guess she got quite a few compliments. It will be a while before I do this again though.

Lunch with Grandma
My mom and I picked up lunch from Jersey Mike's and went to the school to eat with Lexi. We all had sandwiches. Lexi loves sitting at the visitor table and making sure that her classmates see her. It is nice to have kids at the age when they are very proud to be seen with you. She makes us laugh.

Katy Rodeo
We went to the rodeo tonight to support Jordan in his Mutton Bustin. Some of our friends came to watch the rodeo and cheer for Jordan.

Mutton Bustin 2014
This was the night that Lexi has been waiting for since the rodeo last year. She has continued to say she wanted to do mutton bustin. This was her last chance since the age limit is 5 - 8 and the weight limit is 60 lbs. We had quite a few friends there to support her.
Lexi had quite a run. She was hanging on the side for most of it, as you can see in the video.

Rainforest Cafe
Before leaving Galveston, we went to Rainforest Cafe. Unlike the other Rainforest Cafe restaurants that I've been to, this one has a big volcano that erupts. It also have a river rafting ride. Since the wait was fairly long, we decided to try the ride. You float around and look at various mechanical animals. The kids enjoyed it most. We were starving once we finally got seated. After the meal, we indulged on a volcano brownie & ice cream dessert. Yum!

Valentines Day & Camping

It is Valentines Day today. I sent the kids to school with Valentines to pass out to their classmates and brownies for their teachers. I printed a little sign that said "Shooting for Brownie Points."
Art project from school - fish
I picked the kids up from school and we headed right for Galveston to go camping with Grandma and Papa. It took a while because once we got through Houston, there was rush hour traffic. We made it in time for dinner though. As you can see in the pictures, the Fiffy is really nice. We enjoyed watching a movie while cuddling up in front of the electric fireplace.

Papa's Fiffy
Papa and Grandma traded their RV in for a fifth wheel. They picked it up today because we're going camping this weekend. Lexi and Jordan got to see it for the first time this afternoon. It is quite impressive with 5 slide outs, 3 flat screen tvs, leather couches, and a king sized bed in the back.

Saturday Activities
The primary (kids organization at church) had a valentines activity today. They played games with their classes, made valentines, and ate lunch. I took the picture above of some of the girls in Lexi's primary class. They sure have fun together. When it was over, we met Grandma & Papa at the movie theater to watch the Lego movie.

100th Day of School
Today marks the 100th day of school for the year. The kids' school only makes a big deal out of it for the kindergartners. They get to wear shirts they decorated and parade around the halls. Lexi's class at least got to sit in the hall to watch the parade. Grandma Margie and I went to watch. We waved at her.

Blue for Courtesy
Today is the first Wednesday of the month, which means the kids get to wear a certain color and learn about an important characteristic. This month, it is blue for courtesy. They got an extra special treat today too. They had an entourage on the way to school that included Travis, Grandma Margie, Papa Malcolm and me. Talk about a fun send off.
