This morning, we headed out to 7D Ranch in Navasota for a huge Easter celebration with Katy, Jason, and Jackson. The kids got to collect buckets full of candy filled Easter eggs, eat hot dogs and cupcakes for lunch and then ride horses all for free. What could be better on a beautiful Spring day?

Rainy Day Antics
It was raining this morning, so my kids quietly got their swimsuits on and grabbed a towel. Next thing I know, they are out on the trampoline laughing it up. It is actually nice to see them getting along and having fun together. Now that it is the end of the summer, they are pretty sick of each other and have become excellent fighters. I keep thinking that I'll have to turn the trampoline into a cage fighting arena, but they also seem to be nice when they are out there. Too bad it is usually too hot for this in the summer.

Christmas Tree Shopping
We went Christmas tree shopping to our regular place. We picked one out and they trimmed it for us. They also help shove it into our car. Lexi and Jordan had to squeeze in to get it home. We decorated it and it turned out great.

First Day of Fourth Grade
Starting today, Alexis is a big fourth grader. We got ready for school and took lots of pictures. She was nervous and excited like every year and all kids are. We walked to school and felt like we were already back in our routine, except she is now one of the bigger kids on campus. Time sure flies.
Our neighbor, Sofia, is in Lexi's class. She actually knows most of the kids.

Florida Photo Shoot
My cousin, Kim, has been working on improving her photography skills. She told me that she would like to do a photo shoot of the kids. Of course, I was more excited about it than Lexi and Jordan were. It was a great experience even if it involved bribing/forcing the kids to pose, especially to hold hands.

Christmas Card Pictures
This morning before church, I decided to take pictures for our Christmas card. I didn't know if they would turn out. First, my camera is broken and all I have to work with is my cell phone that is getting old and not working so well. Second, sometimes these characters are not that cooperative. The pictures turned out pretty good considering the equipment. As for the characters, I decided to share some of the silly photos that will not make the cut, but are definitely full of personality.

Expanded Playground
Every year, Lexi and Jordan's school does endless fundraisers. Last year, they
were collecting money to add a new section to the playground. It was finished
this week, but the weather wasn't very good and too many kids were climbing on
it so they didn't get to play on it during school. I took them there today and
they had a blast.

Christmas Morning & Day
This morning, I got up around 6:30 to turn on the Christmas lights and start
breakfast. I pulled out the mixer to make cinnamon rolls. I didn't really feel
like making or eating them. Before starting, I heard giggling upstairs. I found
these two in Lexi's bed. They were quite excited. I asked them if they wanted
cinnamon rolls and they said nope. Lexi wasn't "in the mood for all that sugar." They wanted cereal. We started the morning
with photos.
