Getting Sandy

Last night, Lexi & Jordan's step-cousins arrived from Canada. Lexi and J had already gone to bed, but were so excited to meet them this morning that Lexi kept asking if she could wake them up. About 7am, I decided to let her out of our room to see if they were awake. They had just gotten up, so the fun began. They ran around the house getting to know each other and exploring all the things that Grandma Margie & Papa Malcolm have.

After breakfast, everyone (except me - I have LOTS of work) headed down to the park and pool in their neighborhood. Lexi & Jordan must have had a thrilling time because they came back beaming. After lunch, almost everyone headed out to the coast. I had to bow out again because of work and Jordan had to go down for a nap.

When they came back, Lexi was covered in sand and talking a mile a minute. Apparently, they had so much fun that she didn't want to leave. She asked if they could go back tomorrow. Once I saw their pictures, I was able to visualize how she got so dirty. You can see it too:

SeaWorld Part I

We went to SeaWorld San Diego today for the first time, but not the last time. Just like the zoo, their day pass costs the same as their annual pass. Fortunately, we loved it and we'll be going several more times before we leave. Lexi had a great day, but her favorite part had to be petting the manta rays. I had to fight her to get her away from them.

Zoo Times Two

With annual passes, we are lucky enough to be able to hit the zoo in several short trips. We went again yesterday to wear the kids out and catch a few of the animals we missed last Saturday.

St Patty's Day

Lexi & Aunt Paige

Being Irish means that we have to dress up and really celebrate St Patrick's Day. We started off with green oatmeal for breakfast. Most of our St Patty's Day was spent outside in green parks. Paige took us to Mission Bay Park in the morning. The kids played on the big toys and then chased the birds. We had a picnic there and then headed back to the house for naps. Later, Steve's Aunt Carol & Uncle Milton came from LA to hang out with us. We went down to the Cove with them and saw the seals again. It was fun.

Playing at a Park

We are falling in love with San Diego all over again. How can anyone help it? The wonderful weather and greenery are amazing. We're going to soak it up as much as possible. There will be lots of pictures of parks and outdoor activities over the next few weeks. Yes, I am thinking about sticking around for a few weeks.

San Diego Cove

After our long drive, we needed a breather and to stretch our legs. Grandma Margie suggested that we go down to the cove. We were able to have fun and see the seals on the beach.
