Accident Prone

As you can see, Lexi has quite a few booboos. She got the one on her face when she ran into a tree. Her continual scraped knees come from falling down in various places. Running can be so fun. Don't feel too bad for her though. She cries a little and then quickly asks for a bandaid.

Puzzles

Since I started working again, I have had internet and computer issues. I haven't been posting much. Part of the problem is that I have become dependent on pictures & videos for the kids' blogs and my work tower doesn't have a card reader. When we move to the new house, I'll get both computers set up. For now, here are some pictures that I took last week.

Photographer

Back in February, when we went to see the trail riders, a photographer snapped a bunch of photos of the kids. She recently gave us CDs that she made and I thought I would share a few photos, mainly because my mom is interested. If you decide to click on the last one, you'll see that Jordan needed his nose wiped. Oh well!

Best Buddy's Birthday

Yesterday, we went to Lexi's best buddy's birthday party. Cowboy Camden turned three and was lucky enough to party with lots of cute little girls. The kids got to round up the mustangs, rope a cactus, jump over side winders (a rope), listen to camp fire songs, eat vittles, decorate a paper vest, and dive into a horse cake. There was plenty of fun for all to be had. Lexi will be talking about it for weeks.

Miss Artist

Lexi has started drawing faces. This morning, after breakfast, I got out the crayons & let her do her magic. Here is one of her typical faces & an explanation:

Sunny Sunday

Summer seems to be headed our way. Since the highs are looking like they stay in the mid 80s for a while, we decided it was time to get out the water table (a present that Lexi got from Grandma Margie for her birthday).

Tour & Registration

This Fall, Lexi will be starting part of the Mother's Day Program at a local church (Methodist). When we moved here and even last week, I had no intention of enrolling her in any program or even pre-school. A little phone call (positive thing) early this week has changed things, but I can't go into details on the internet just yet. For now, I will say that we found a wonderful program for her.

I started looking for something that was one or two days a week for half a day. Of course, I also wanted a place she would love. I called a friend who doesn't have her kids in any programs, but who knows lots of moms. She told me that basically everyone uses this place. Not only that, but my mom has a friend that runs it & one that teaches there. I was surprised by the fact that all these people that I know are at the same place and I never knew.

We took the tour this morning and I was amazed. I loved their set-up, basic philosophies, projects, play grounds, the fact that they are closed for the summers, and that there were lots of kids I recognized. As much as I loved it, Lexi loved it more. In fact, she threw the mother of all tantrums when it was time to leave and screamed to play with one of her friends there (Cara). I filled out the application & with a little more paperwork, she'll be going 2 half days a week in September.
