Easter Baskets

It is Easter Sunday and the kids were very excited to find their baskets. They got swimsuits, clothes, candy, and snacks. Lexi also got a game - Cat Stacking. We have a visitor this weekend - Lucy.

Have you ever wondered why I have less pictures of Lexi lately? She has become the queen of avoiding pictures. She turns, holds her phone up in the way, complains a LOT, and generally ruins my pictures of her. So - there will be less for a while until she finishes this annoying stage (hopefully, soon).

Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma & Papa's

We had our own little Easter egg hunt this afternoon. These kids were definitely spoiled this weekend.

Easter Sunday Poses

This morning, Malcolm headed off to his church to sing in the choir and we went to Grandma's church. I snapped a few pictures before we left and then one later with Papa.

Easter Baskets on Sunday Morning

Miriam, Lexi and Jordan got up this morning and were very excited to look for their Easter baskets. It took them a surprisingly long time to find them (not hours, but we thought it would be easier). They got candy, swimsuits, books, big bubbles, and a few other things.

Saturday Easter Egg Hunt

This morning, we headed out to 7D Ranch in Navasota for a huge Easter celebration with Katy, Jason, and Jackson. The kids got to collect buckets full of candy filled Easter eggs, eat hot dogs and cupcakes for lunch and then ride horses all for free. What could be better on a beautiful Spring day?

Cousin Water Time

The kids only had a half day of school yesterday and they had all of today off (Good Friday), so we headed up to Montgomery to spend the long Easter weekend with Grandma & Papa. I still had to work, but the kids had fun today. They went over to Katy & Jason's house for a water fight. Jackson always seems to enjoy cousin time. These guys are definitely entertaining.

Easter 2016

While searching for their Easter baskets, the kids happened to look outside and noticed the "You've been Egged" sign. We also had plastic eggs filled with candy throughout the yard. It came from the Second Baptist Church in town, which some of our friends belong too.

With a little more searching, Lexi and Jordan found their baskets. Lexi's was hidden in the big pantry.
I also gave them a few things like clothes. If you notice the weird patches on the wall, it is because I am painting. The blue/violet color, which was supposed to be a light gray, has gotten a little old for me. It will soon be a nice light yellow.

Easter Sunday

The kids had a hard time finding their baskets this morning.  I think the Easter Bunny kicked it up a notch this year.  Lexi found her basket in the clothes dryer.

Easter Dress

Lexi and Jordan are going to be spending Easter with their dad, so I had her wear her Easter outfit to church this week.  I also gave her a jean jacket, which she has been asking for all winter long.

Easter Thoughtfulness

This afternoon, Lexi and Jordan decided to put together an Easter surprise for me while I worked on my computer.  I had no idea they were doing.  I just thought they were having fun coloring at the table.  They brought it up to me.  I had to take a picture because it was just so sweet.  They even drew colorful eggs for me and put one of the clay art projects from school in the bucket.  They crinkled a paper to act as tissue paper.  Lexi said she felt sad that I didn't get an Easter basket.  When we were in California, my mom always made sure I had one.

Don't feel sorry for me.  I have been very spoiled.  My mom sent me some very nice Easter gifts this year (a juicer & a blender), but the kids noticed that they weren't in a basket.  We are also going to have our dinner with a bunch of good friends.  What more could we ask for?

Easter Sunday

Jordan and Lexi looked quite adorable in their Easter Sunday clothes.  I made the dress for Lexi.  I wanted her to have something bright and fun for church.
