PJ Party for Savannah & Avery

Last night, Lexi and Jordan got to experience their first sleep over. It was for Savannah's 4th and Avery's 8th birthdays. The kids didn't even know that is was going to a sleep over. To them, it was called a pajama party with the theme "counting sheep." They had a family party and we were privileged enough to be included. Lexi has loved being back in Texas and spending time with all of her friends.

Fun with Friends

Yesterday, we had loads of fun. During the day, we went to our neighborhood waterpark with our friends. I took the above picture with my phone minutes before they arrived. That evening, they came over for dinner and I got a picture of all of the kids.

Night with Dad

Last night, the kids spent the night with their dad for the first time since we've been back. I took a few photos before dropping them off. He took them to the aquarium downtown and then they went swimming this morning.

Water Guns

Now that we're back in Texas, we have to deal with the heat and humidity. Almost every evening after dinner, we head out to our backyard and play in the water. Sometimes the kids run through the sprinkler and sometimes they play with their water guns. No matter what, they always have a good time.

Note from Camden

Today, our friends came by to welcome us back. Lexi's friend, Camden, brought her a little note and drawing that he made for her. It was quite sweet. He is such a nice boy.

Moving Back to TX

Our drive back to Texas went better than expected. The kids were pretty good and everything went smoothly. The funny thing is that they took their only nap on the last day when we were about 2 hours from home. I just had to take pictures. The photos below were taken in our house last night.

Last Big Cali Hurrah

For our last night in California doing something fun, we got to hang out with Steve’s Aunt Carol and Uncle Milton. They drove down from L.A. We went to Seaport Village to do the tourist thing, walk around outside, eat dinner, and spend time together. We had a great time.

Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day started Saturday morning with tropical flowers from the kids that Papa bought. They each gave me a bouquet and Grandma Margie a bouquet, so our house was filled with beautiful flowers. We also exchanged gifts this morning. I guess the big celebration was at church when all of the primary went on the stand and sang to us. Lexi and Jordan stood at the top and we had a clear view of them. Paige came to church with us to watch.

Sadly, that was about all that I could devote to the day. I have too much work right now. I have a proposal (about 200 pages) due on Tuesday and of course, we are moving on Thursday. After church, I had the kids watch a movie while I worked. These pictures were taken then. Not exactly a fun way to end our time here in Cali.
