Astros Game

We were given free tickets to the Astros game tonight. It was Mormon Helping Hands night. We saw lots of friends from church there. We were near the Griffeths, so Lexi switched seats with their son, Jared. He sat by Jordan and me. Lexi sat by them. It was a fantastic game. We were loosing the whole game until the bottom of the ninth. It was 4 to 2. The bases were loaded and then a hit that scored a double and like that we won.

Shooting Hoops

In the movie, Field of Dreams, they say "If you build it, he will come." I think that is true about neighbor kids too. When we put up the trampoline, they were constantly at our house. Today, many of them showed up to play on our new hoop. I have a feeling Knock Out is going to be a regular activity around here for a while.

Third Win for the Aggies

Lexi's Aggies team won again today. It was definitely a nerve wrecking stressful game. It was tied or a basket up and down the entire game. One of Lexi's teammates made a basket for the other team and I thought that was it. I also thought we were finished when our best player landed on her back and banged her head on the floor so loud that everyone heard it over the shouts. We all froze. She cried. The coach ran. She decided to shake it off and came out tougher. The score was tied at the end of the 4th quarter, so we went into overtime.  We made a basket and held them off until the end. Final score: 20 to 18.

Astros Game

We have some good friends, Juan & Sonja, visiting from Florida this week.  Juan is a huge Astros fan, so they took us to a game tonight.  I found some Astros shirts on sale at Academy.  We had our gear on and were ready for a fun night.  Jordan and Lexi were very excited.  Sadly, they did not win, but the kids learned a lot about baseball and we all enjoyed it.
