Jordan's 8th birthday party was today, which was Harry Potter themed. Of course, both Lexi and Jordan really got into it.

Birthday Party Prep

We're having a big birthday party tomorrow to celebrate Jordan's 8th birthday. It is a Harry Potter themed party with lots of prep work involved. Grandma had Lexi and Jordan help paint a troll for the bean bag toss. 

Thanksgivingish

Since I didn't manage to take pictures yesterday on Thanksgiving, I thought I would snap of few this morning of Lexi and Lucy. This is basically what she did all day yesterday too. She LOVES this dog.

Lexi is a huge dog lover. She begs me for one practically every day. She is quite sad that Grandma & Papa's dog, Travis, had to be put down this summer. She misses him terribly. One of our friends from church asked if we would watch Lucy over the Thanksgiving break. I had to say yes. Lexi is completely smitten with Lucy. I like that she doesn't shed and has a great personality. She is a Havanese. 

4th Grade Thankful Party

The school Thanksgiving parties were today. They call them Thankful parties. I guess that is an effort to be politically correct, but it is obviously a Thanksgiving party.

Knitting Caps

Every year, Lexi's school chooses charity projects for the kids to work on. This year, the 4th graders are knitting caps for babies. They dedicated the day to it and asked for volunteers to help. Lexi asked Grandma Margie to come in and help her class. She did and really enjoyed it. They used a circle loom, which she hadn't used before but of course caught on very quickly. She even showed them how to make a pom pom for the top, which the teachers didn't know how to do. All the kids loved Lexi's grandma. 

Basketball Begins

Basketball season has started and we are going to be one busy family for the next few months. Lexi and Jordan are both playing this year. Lexi has practices on Monday and Thursday. Jordan has practices on Tuesday and Friday. The games start in January and will be on the weekends. Lexi's team is the Owls and it is made up of 3rd and 4th grades from a few nearby schools. She has 2 other girls on her team that go to her school and are in 4th grade - Tina and Leah.

Tex Ren Fest 2015

We went to the Tex Ren Fest today. There is always lots of talents to see, amazing people watching, yummy food, and more. It is the main reason my cousin and aunt are here this weekend. The kids could have stayed forever.
