Heading Back to Texas

Grandma finally got her car back from the repair shop and I finished a big proposal, so we set off on our way back to Texas. I'll be doing a lot of driving because we are ready to be home. These pictures were in Arizona at a Rest Area. 

Old Town with Us

We were supposed to head back to Texas a few days ago, but Grandma and Jordan were involved in a little accident. She rear-ended someone with a bicycle rack on the back of their vehicle. It didn't do anything to their car, but Grandma's grill was pushed in. While it sits in the shop, we get to continue the fun California life with Aunt Paige. Today after church, we all went to Old Town. 

San Diego Comic Con

On this gorgeous day, I thought we should be part of one of the biggest events in San Diego - Comic Con. Of course, we didn't have tickets. They've been sold out for months. Fortunately, Aunt Paige is usually up for anything. We drove to Old Town and caught a Lift to near the convention center. We walked around and took pictures with lots of interesting people. Lexi even made her way through a big crowd to see what the excitement was and caught a glimpse of Ryan Gosling. We loved seeing all the costumes. Maybe one day, we'll go back with our own costumes and possibly even tickets.

Back to the Cove

We picked Aunt Paige up from work this evening and headed out to walk around the Cove. It is so beautiful out here and being around the salt water is amazing. 

Mount Soledad

We had a rather quiet day today. After Disneyland yesterday, anything would have been quiet. I worked all day and the kids hung out at the Aunt Paige's apartment watching tv, reading, and playing video games. This evening. we went to Mount Soledad to get sandwiches at our favorite deli. Then we headed to the top by the cross to enjoy the views including the LDS temple. 

Disneyland for the Win

See those excited faces??? That is because we had the greatest day ever. I took the day off and we spent the day at Disneyland with Aunt Paige. We were there to open the park and stayed until they kicked us out. We got fast passes and ran around the park like crazy people on a mission of delight. Our little band completely rocked it today. We started off on Space Mountain and headed around counter-clockwise hitting the biggest rides so we would be sure to get them all. We did such a good job that we even hit several of them twice.
