4th of July

It was a crazy rain kind of day, but fortunately, it cleared up about 5:30 pm. We joined a big gathering at a friend's house. Everyone brought food to share. The kids went swimming and jumped on the trampoline. Later, we went out to the cul-de-sac to watch fireworks. It was an amazing amount of fireworks. A few even tipped and shot out into the audience making the show quite a heart racing experience.

4th of July at the Cove

We spent the entire day down at the La Jolla Cove. This wasn't our first time there for 4th of July, so it was nice remembering. We really enjoyed it. We walked around, got in the water, ate in our little tent, talked, laughed, and watched fireworks. Papa Malcolm, Grandma Margie, Aunt Paige, her boyfriend (Sam), and his mom were all there with us.

Water Skiing on the 4th of July

We had the privilege of going waterskiing with our friends in a lake that is about 2 hours away. It was a great day for it and we always love being with them. Jordan and Lexi did quite well for their first water skiing trip. The pictures make them look like professionals. I was sure to snap them as soon as they got up.

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July.  I pulled out the kids' patriotic clothes.  We decided it would be fun to kick it up a notch, so we headed to Sally's to get red hair spray.  They looked awesome.  We started off the day at a park in our community where they had a little festival.  It was a bit too hot, so we didn't stay that long.

In the evening, we went to celebrate with some of our close friends.  We had a bbq and played with sparklers.  It was an extra great experience since Uncle Stephen had just got out of the hospital.  He had been in for a whole month and was diagnosed with a rare form of Lupus.  He has really been suffering and will continue to battle this, but for today he was there having a good time.  He helped light the sparklers.  The kids LOVE being with him, but had to stay back a bit.  His immune system is very weak.
