SD County Fair

Yesterday, Paige and I took the kids to the San Diego County Fair. I don't feel like blogging lately, so I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

La Jolla Art Festival 2010

This morning, we went to the La Jolla Art Festival. They had a few things for kids like making colorful sand bottles, which was actually sidewalk chalk rubbed on table salt. They both loved the project more than expected. Mostly, we just kept Lexi and Jordan interested in looking at art but not touching.

Funky Hair

I did something a little funky with Lexi's braids tonight after her bath, so she asked to take pictures for her blog.

Father's Day Message

We mailed Steve a card for Father's Day. We also taped a message for him:

*You have to double click on it so it takes you to YouTube, if you want to see all of Lexi's face.

Saturday at Seaworld

This morning, I took the kids to Seaworld. We haven't been since Memorial Day Weekend. We went to the new Dolphin show and the Cirque de la Mer. Now, Lexi wants to be an acrobat.

Father's Day Prep

Lexi spent the first half of the week preparing for Father's Day. She had lots of cards and pictures to make. We had to send them off to her dad, her grand-dad, and my grandpa. She also made a card and picture for Papa Malcolm. The funny thing is that her dad is the youngest of those four. My Grandpa Law (my dad's dad) is the oldest and then Grand-dad (Steve's dad), and then comes Malcolm and Steve is the youngest. She had fun drawing picture of each of them with her.

Above is a picture of our family that she drew for Steve. Jordan is the little one on the left. Steve has black hair. She told me that he is standing on his tip toes because she is "teaching him ballet." She has blonde hair. My hair is pinkish red. Once she heard that my hair color is strawberry blonde, I became a pinkish haired girl in her pictures. By the way, I love how she draws our ears nice and big.

Kung-Fu Lexi

Sometimes Lexi likes to pretend she is a Kung-Fu Master. We always get a good laugh about it. Here she is practicing before bed last night. Pretty scary if you ask me.

Computer Girl

Every couple of weeks, I let Lexi get on Playhouse Disney's website to play the games. She loves clicking through all the different games. The funniest part about it though is that Jordan loves to sit next to her and watch. It seems boring to me, but he likes it. He never even asks if he can play, which probably will not last long and then they'll have something else to fight over.

San Diego's Old Towne

We went to Old Town this weekend. Of course, most Mormons know that the best parking is at the Mormon Battalion. It is a decent parking lot & it is free. It has also been newly renovated, so we went inside to watch the new movie and pan for gold. During the tour, Lexi volunteered to put on the equipment that they had to carry in their walk across the US. Later, we headed over to one of the many Mexican restaurants.
