First Volleyball Game

Lexi's team, Thunder, had their first volleyball game of the season today. The smashed the other team for both games and then did a third game as practice. Lexi has several friends from church on the team as well as the coach (he was also Jordan's assistant Basketball coach). I think this is going to be a great season.

Swimming at the YMCA

I took the kids to the YMCA this evening so they could go swimming in the indoor pool. The water is too cold for me, but they enjoyed it for a while. It is a good way to wear them out a little. 

La Jolla Shores Park

The weather was absolutely amazing yesterday. I just knew that we had to get out and enjoy it, so I took the kids to the park in La Jolla Shores. The great thing about this park is that it is right on the beach. We had a great time.

Lexi & Jordan also got to play with one of their friends from the YMCA. He just happened to be there with his parents. He saw Lexi & Jordan and shouted out their names before he came running toward them. Later during the day, at the grocery store, we heard another child shouting their names. It was a little girl from the YMCA. She was so thrilled to see them. They have friends all over thanks to the Y.

Santa at the YMCA

Santa made a special visit to the YMCA. I am pretty sure this wasn't the real one though. He looked like he was about 20 years old and wasn't too comfortable with kids. Since we brought the camera in, we decided to take pictures with a few of Lexi and Jordan's favorite playcare teachers. Below, you'll see Miss Raven and Miss Mendi.

Pirate Camp

I signed Lexi up for Pirate Camp at the YMCA. She goes this whole week and does pirate themed things. They look for treasure, sing pirate songs, play pirate games, and make pirate crafts. She is loving it.
