Yesterday before church, Lexi got to model a dress & bloomers that Grandma Margie made a while ago. She has had a little growth spurt since we got it, so I decided to try it on again to see if it would fit. She had fun posing for the pictures.
Lexi had a doctor appointment today. I know that you are probably thinking that two and a half year olds don't need check-ups (they have one at 2 years & another one at 3). That is true, but I had to pick up her shot record for school so I signed her up for one anyways. Nothing much to say...She is 30 lbs and doing great. Besides the fact that she has a little summer cold. I only mentioned it to the doctor because she decided to tell her she wasn't feeling well. Her exact words, "I don't feel very much well."
Yesterday, we had a small celebration for Steve's 41st birthday at the Waterpark. I snapped a few photos, but managed to miss taking any with Jordan or me not to mention the 28" pizza. It was a fun party and since the weather was EXTRA HOT (98 degrees with 90% humidity) it was a great day to go swimming.

A few weeks ago, Lexi started calling her dad a giant. When we were at the library last week, she picked up a book and handed it to me. When I read the title, My Daddy is a Giant, I couldn't believe it. Of course, she has insisted that we read it for both naptime and bedtime every day. Yesterday before taking it back to the library, I decided to take a picture and a little video of her with the book.
Cousins: Miriam, Eden, Kaylie, Ammon, Zak & Rachel Lexi has a new dress that matches her cousins' dresses, thanks to Grandma Margie. Of course, her cousins have sleeves for the Montana version of the dress.
Since Lexi is a huge fan of music and dancing in front of large crowds, we celebrated the 4th at La Centerra. Unlike me, she has never shied away from being the center of attention. She just runs right to the middle of an opening and laps, dances, mingles, etc. We all had fun listening to the band that played Southern Rock. That was the highlight of the evening because the fireworks were just ok. Perhaps, we were spoiled in Miami. There we got to watch them being shot off over of the water. The kids enjoyed the show though.
