Easter Sunday Funday

Our Easter was full of fun activities. It started a little later than usual since Jordan & Lexi slept in (thanks to the late night with Shamu). We had a healthy breakfast before starting the Easter Basket Hunt of 2009. Lexi, of course, was in charge. She found my basket first and then their baskets. Paige kept searching for her basket without any luck (hidden too low), so Lexi ended up searching & finding Paige's too.

After the basket fun, we got ready for church. We were running late and since Papa Malcolm was performing and his church starts a little later, we went to his (Englican). It was a nice service. He sang several songs with the choir and then a solo. The priest announced an Easter egg hunt on the front lawn for after the service. Lexi and Jordan found several eggs and we all had a piece of carrot cake.

Lexi and Grandma Margie made sugar cookies after church. Jordan was asleep in our room, so Lexi couldn't change out of her church clothes. Grandma Margie said she could just take her dress off.

When Jordan woke up, we headed down to the beach. The kids had fun playing in the water and in the sand.

That evening, we had a wonderful dinner of lamb, mashed potatoes, green beans, and sparkling blue berry juice. We had apple pie for dessert. I had plenty of sweets to last at least a week, but the kids seem to think they need more. :)

Shamu Rocks

Saturday night, we headed to SeaWorld (AGAIN). We wanted to see the Shamu Rocks show that only plays at night right before the fireworks. Unfortunately, it was too dark to get any pictures of the show, but I got plenty of pictures of the pre-show: Lexi & Jordan entertaining us. Once you have kids, there are few dull moments in life.

SeaWorld Part II

My workload seems to be piling up, so I decided today would be a good day to make sure the kids take a long nap. My sister & I took them back to SeaWorld. Three hours was enough to do the trick. Both Lexi & Jordan love that place.

I thought it would be good to hit a few of her favorite things and a few new things. We started with a 4-D movie staring Elmo, which we missed last time. It was only about 15 minutes long, but both kids loved it. We also made sure to do the petting areas (the rays & the starfish). Another thing Lexi loves are characters, which we were lucky enough to run into 2 of them. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to catch any of the shows. I guess we'll do that next time.

Early Easter Eggs

Today, we colored easter eggs and did an easter egg hunt in the back because the step-cousins will be leaving on Monday. Lexi insisted on making her eggs pink, of course.

Seaport Village

Our Friday fun involved hanging out at Seaport Village with the step-cousins, lots of walking, eating lunch at San Diego Burger Company, eating ice cream, and looking at all the tourist sites. It was a successful day; the kids were so worn out that they had a great nap on the couch.

Wild Animal Park with Step-Cousins

Lexi and Jordan have loved getting to know their step-cousins. Yesterday, we all went to the Wild Animal Park. In the above picture, Lexi is posing with Willie, Sammi, Michael, Papa Malcolm, Matthew, and Grandma Margie.
