Weekend at the Zoo - Saturday

We went to the San Diego Zoo this weekend. It wasn't really planned. We got up on Saturday and my mom was sick. I decided to get the kids out of the house so she could rest. I got Lexi dressed up in her new fall outfit. Unfortunately, she lost one of her bows somewhere between the car and the front gate. Oh well, good thing I made it and can make another one.

The kids felt extra lucky because there happened to be a clearance sell. I never buy souvenirs, but... who can resist amazing deals? Lexi got a puppet polar bear and Jordan got an ape.

Today, I let Lexi pick her own outfit. She gets to do that a lot when we go the YMCA. She decided to wear one of the new outfits her dad sent. Later, she got to enjoy an In-N-Out burger while wearing it. Hamburgers aren't her favorite, but she was willing to help celebrate Jordan's potty training success.

New Dress & Bows

About once or twice a year, I get addicted to ebay. Not just any section of ebay, the one where people sell amazing home sewn outfits for little girls. I bid on way too much stuff, but I am really cheap so I do not win very often. I got lucky this week and got this really cute dress for $10. Last night, I made matching bows for it. Lexi wore it to church today.

Labor Day 2010 at SW

The whole gang (Grandma, Papa, Paige, the kids & I) went to SeaWorld in the afternoon on Labor Day. I can't even remember the last time all of us went there together. We had a good time seeing the otters, petting the star fish and sting rays, watching the dolphin show, watching the Pets Rule show, and of course seeing Shamu Rocks. **Yes, we're dressed in the same outfits at the post before because it was the same day.

On Monday, morning we went out to breakfast for Grandma's birthday. It was great. Then we walked on the beach.

Grandma's Birthday Party 2010

Grandma Margie's birthday is on the 7th, but we celebrated it last night. After dinner, we gave her presents. Papa bought her a new lens for her camera and a camera bag. I gave her a yoga dvd and bought her "cake." The kids gave her a picture frame with a picture of them and her in it. Lexi made her a card. Paige gave her a meditation pillow. We also had pie for her birthday. She wanted key lime.

Halloween Jammies

By now, I am sure everyone who checks out the kids' blogs know that I love holidays & being festive. We're already getting into the spirit of Halloween.

Friday Evening at SeaWorld

Friday evening we went to Seaworld hoping to catch the Shamu Rocks show and fireworks. I thought it would be one of the last week nights for the show to be on, but I was wrong. It had ended the week before. We saw a few things before it closed at 7:30pm. The shows will be running for the Labor Day weekend, so we'll try to catch it another night.

Lexi loves drawing. She does it every day. This week, she drew a dog. I thought we should share it. She also arranged her crayons into color groups. Girls are funny.
