Farmers' Market at Bernardo Winery

Today, we went out to Bernardo Winery to catch a concert by Hullabaloo. We have seen him before and even have one of his CDs. Lexi loves his songs & they don't drive me crazy. Unfortunately, we got there a little late and missed the show, but we had a great time exploring the shops and the farmers' market.

Feetie Jammies

It was a little chilly last night and the kids have had colds, so they got to wear their feetie jammies for the first time this fall/winter.

Turkey Day

Yesterday afternoon, I wanted to give Lexi something to do that was quiet during Jordan's nap. I handed her some paper and told her to draw a turkey. I had no idea what it was going to look like. We haven't been drawing or coloring turkeys this year. A little later I went to see her drawing and was blown away. She even drew a hat! Some times I can't believe that she is still only four.

MegaMind Movie

On Saturday, Lexi and I had this conversation:

Lexi: "Mom, I can't wait to see MegaMind!"
Me: "Soon"
Lexi: "From now on, you should call me MegaLexi!"

Suddenly the teenage years popped into my head and I smiled because I am pretty sure she would hate that nickname. Out of kindness in the future, I didn't start calling her that. She got her wish to see the movie though because the next day (yesterday), we went to see it. We all loved it.

SeaWorld Of Course

Yesterday morning, Grandma woke up feeling horrible. Actually, she felt horrible all night. She has the stomach flu. I figured it would be a good idea to get the kids out of the house, so she could get some rest. A great excuse to go to Sea World.

Talking on the Phone

In California, it is illegal to talk on the phone while driving. When I get a call (especially from family or close friends), I often just hand it to Lexi to answer. She has been blessed with the gift of gab and I might as well use it. When I hear her on the phone, it usually hits me how well she converses. My mom always comments about how much older she sounds.

I took these pictures of her today when she was talking to her dad. Yes, we were in the car and she is standing, but I had already parked. Safety first.

Just Playing

We have had amazing weather lately. Even though I have a deadline for work, I am making sure that we spend as much time outside as possible. Yesterday, we went to the park. Nothing special happened, but I snapped a few pictures.

Trick-or-Treating 2010

Yesterday, we got dressed up in our Halloween costumes and went trick-or-treating along with Grandma and Aunt Paige. This activity is non-existant in our neighborhood, so we went to two areas that each had a house belonging to my mom's friends. We went down a few blocks in the first area. Then headed to the next area that is always fun because they decorate their houses so cute. After a few houses there, Lexi announced that she had too much candy and that we should go home. She was right of course, so we did.
