Puppy Fun

Some wonderful friends from church have a puppy named Lucy. The mom & kids are out of town this week, so they asked us to check up on her during the day. That way she'll get a potty break in the middle of the day. The dad comes home for the evening, so it is just a little visit. As you can see, Lexi and Jordan loved it.

Friends' Ranch

Our friends invited us to join them at their ranch today. It is called the Cooper Ranch (not their name) and is almost 2 hours west of here. Owning a ranch is the only way Texans can hunt because there is very little public land. We went out to spend the morning with them and took Travis (Grandma & Papa Malcolm's dog).  It was a beautiful day. We walked around the property and even rode their 4-wheelers.

New Trampoline

The kids have been wanting a trampoline for a few years. Today, with help from Grandma & Papa, that dream came true. We set it up and oh were they happy.  

Wizard Candy

Grandma Margie has returned from Orlando where she took her sister to Universal Studios to experience Harry Potter World. Our entire family (extended family too) is full of Harry Potter fans. Lexi and Jordan dream about going to Orlando too. Of course, Grandma came back with special treats.

School Science Night

Lexi and Jordan had science night at school. They had been warned during the day that one of the stations would be dedicated to eating a chocolate covered mealworm. They were both up for the challenge. Here they are eating it in the top picture. Below, they have their stickers on announcing their accomplishment. 

Mardi Gras Daddy Daughter Dance

Lexi got to go a fancy Mardi Gras Ball with Papa Malcolm tonight. It was a daddy/daughter dance held at Lifetime Fitness. Malcolm bought tickets and invited her to it. Grandma helped her make the mask. Lexi got to be a princess for the night. They both had an amazing time.

Katy Rodeo Time

The Katy Rodeo is the happening place to be this weekend. We went tonight because local kids get in free. We stopped at one of our favorite Texas BBQ places near the stadium for dinner. Lexi is a huge fan of creamed corn, but I'm not so she was excited to get some. Before entering, we walked around the stables and looked at the FFA animals.  

Heather came later with her dad and brothers, but sat by us.

Backpack Silliness

On the way to school this morning, Lexi swung her backpack to the front. She announced that she was pregnant.  

Sewing with Grandma

Grandma Margie and Papa Malcolm are in town for the next few months. One of the things that Lexi wanted was to have Grandma start teaching her how to sew. Grandma helped her make this bag this evening.
