Jordan talked Lexi into playing Connect 4 Launch. He loves flipping the chips onto the board.

Black & White Day
Every month, the school board picks a characteristic for the students to learn about and develop. They also pick a color that everyone wears to remind them about the theme. Today was wear black & white day for individualism. This makes me laugh because dressing the same truly magnifies how different we are.

Conference Weekend
Twice a year, our church has conference weekend. It is when the leaders of the church talk and it is broadcast on tv and the internet. It is a nice weekend, where we can stay home and listen to their messages. There is a morning session and an afternoon session on Saturday and Sunday.
Lexi and Jordan jumped on the trampoline between sessions today. Their favorite part of conference weekend is homemade cinnamon rolls.

This evening, Lexi went to a birthday party for a school friend. The theme was Princess Make-overs. She enjoyed a night of pampering with LOTS of friends.

Junior Pacesetters 2015
I signed Lexi up to be a Junior Pacesetter this year. It is one of the Fall activities that she simply adores. This year, Savannah, did it too. They had the clinic from 9 am to noon this morning. Their performance was during half time at the high school football game this evening.

Cupcake with a Friend
Heather is one of Lexi's favorite friends from church. They clicked when we moved here 4.5 years ago. This summer, they both started watching Cupcake Wars on tv. When Heather came today, they wanted cupcakes of course. I decided that it was best just to buy two instead of making a whole batch. Unlike the Cupcake Wars, there are no strange ingredients like cockroaches in these.

Blue Bell Famine of 2015
This has been an especially exciting week for Texans. Others may not have noticed so much, but the Blue Bell Famine of 2015 has finally started subsiding. Thankfully, we live in one of the few cities where they released the first batches. I had friends that went to the grocery store when it opened to load up on as many as the store would allow. It may seem crazy, but there is no other ice cream we can tolerate here in this great state. A Texas summer without ice cream is just miserable.
We had church activities this evening and heard on the radio that Gallery Furniture is giving away free Blue Bell Ice Cream. We made a special stop on the way home for some. The celebration included a man on stilts and others. We even got a free Welcome Back Blue Bell sign for our yard. This is a great day in history.
