Lexi's team was up 8 to 2 at half time. Then the coach of the other team must have had a huge talk with his girls because they came back and were insanely aggressive. They were fouling, full-court pressing, and trying to take out a few girls. I liked seeing Lexi step up and work hard in this game. She played a full 3 quarters (1st, 3rd & 4th) and even part of the 2nd. She made a basket. I only wish that they could have held on to the lead an won the game. I am still proud of them.

New Beginnings
Now that Lexi is going to be turning 12, she is going to move from the Primary program into the Young Women Program at church. At the beginning of each year, they have an activity called New Beginnings. It is where they introduce the girls that will be joining the group as well as talk about goals and starting fresh for the year.

Shooting Hoops
In the movie, Field of Dreams, they say "If you build it, he will come." I think that is true about neighbor kids too. When we put up the trampoline, they were constantly at our house. Today, many of them showed up to play on our new hoop. I have a feeling Knock Out is going to be a regular activity around here for a while.

Last Sunday in Primary
Today was Lexi's last day in primary at church. First, they sang a birthday song to all the kids having a birthday this week, which included Colin and Ginger. Then Lexi was awarded the Faith in God. She had to pray daily, read scriptures, attend church regularly, memorize several scriptures, teach Family Home Evening (FHE), and do services projects. She received a necklace and a certificate.
Basketball
Lexi likes her team and I really like her coaches, but they haven't had the best games. This was a tough game. The Mustangs made most of their points in the second half. Lexi even made a critical basket to start the turnaround.
