Thanksgiving with Friends

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with our friends, the Rivers. Lexi and their twins didn't eat nearly as much as Jordan did. Getting them to eat was a bit of a struggle, because they were too interested in playing. That just shows how fun it was. Their daughter, Kacey is a bit laid back and fairly sweet tempered like Jordan. Cole, their son, is crazy and wild like Lexi. They giggled and chased the dog all afternoon.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lexi has had an entire month devoted to making Thanksgiving artwork at school. From American Indian headbands with feathers, to making various turkeys, to painting a green bean casserole (funny), to this sign/poem & turkeys. She even had two "feasts" at school last week that included chicken nuggets and cheese cubes. School is out this week, so we've been keeping busy at home and running a million errands. Now, she is more than ready to celebrate THANKSGIVING tomorrow with some friends. Hope everyone has a wonderful time.

Excited about Christmas

Lexi is already very excited about Christmas and everything that comes with it. She can't stop talking about baby Jesus. She also talks about Santa and tells everyone he is her friend. She even LOVES Christmas songs. I am sure I'll be recording a few of her solos for this blog in the next few weeks.

Birthday Party for the Twins

Two of Lexi's best friends, the twins, had their third birthday today. They had a bouncy house, yummy food, a wonderful cake, and loads of fun.

Spider Bite

I mentioned that Lexi had a spider bite (at least some kind of bite). Here is a picture:

Two Sickies

Yesterday, I kept Lexi home from school because I had to take the kids to the doctor. Lexi has been congested for weeks (since she had strep throat) and she has a spider bite on the side of her face. I just wanted to get her checked out. The doctor prescribed a blueberry flavored decongestant and told me to put a humidifier in her room. For the spider bite, we'll just use neosporin.

Before going to the doctor, I took them to see Madagascar II. I wanted to get out of the house, but do something relaxing for them. Lexi liked the movie and I mostly liked it. However, I can't really give an honest oppinion since Jordan was fussy & wiggly the first half of the movie. As soon as he fell asleep, I started enjoying it.

Dewberry Farms 2008 Part II

Friday, I got a text message from a friend asking us if we wanted to go to Dewberry Farms on Saturday. I sent a message back that Steve was working, but that we would love to. I knew the kids would love it, especially Lexi since they have twins that are just about to turn 3 years old.

School Pictures

Today was school picture day. Lexi wanted to practice this morning (like she doesn't have enough pictures taken of her).
