Last Day of VBS

This morning, Lexi got ready for VBS by putting on a BYU shirt. I didn't want to discourage her, but I also didn't really want anyone picking on her. I decided just to tell her that it may not be the best outfit because Baptists don't tend to get excited about Mormons. She still wanted to wear it, so I let her. It was completely fine. 

When I came to pick her up, she was dancing and singing on the stage with her friends, Kacy and Cole. They had a great week. 

VBS Fun

It was day 3 of VBS. Lexi is loving being with Kacy and Cole. They sing songs, dance, play games, do crafts, eat snacks, and go to worship for a little while. 

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

The kids started VBS this week and the new Second Baptist church that is just out west of us. I signed them up at the beginning of the summer and told some of our good friends about it. They enrolled too. Lexi gets to be with Kacy and Cole this week. Jordan is with other kids in his grade.

Long Day on the Road

This has been one LONG LONG LONG LONG day on the road. What should have taken about 10 hours, dragged on thanks to never ending road work. I think there was a 5 mile stretch in Mississippi that took over an hour to go through. We made it though. 

Alabama Stop

We are heading back home. I thought it would make the trip a little easier if we went to Alabama this evening and spent the night with my cousin, Kim. She left Tallahassee a few days ago with Reagan. We brought London with us. The kids loved exploring their area and jumping on their trampoline. We have a long drive tomorrow.

Blue Springs

Uncle Fred took us to a new swimming hole this morning called Blue Springs. The water was cold, but beautiful. This one had quite a current once you got out to the river. In fact, the kids started being swept away. I headed out there to help them, but some good Samaritan guys got there first and pulled them to safety. All in all, it was still a great place.  

Visit from 1st Cousins

My sister-in-law, Katie, and her kids just came last night to Tallahassee to visit with her family. They came over for dinner tonight so we got to spend a little time with them along with their new little one, Ryan.

9 Year Olds: Lexi, MorganRyan, & Ammon (Ammon is 4 months older. Lexi & MorganRyan are 2 weeks apart)

 

7 year olds: Rachel, Jordan (2 days apart) and London who is actually still 6 until Oct.

Florida Photo Shoot

My cousin, Kim, has been working on improving her photography skills. She told me that she would like to do a photo shoot of the kids. Of course, I was more excited about it than Lexi and Jordan were. It was a great experience even if it involved bribing/forcing the kids to pose, especially to hold hands.
