Lunch at School

Today, Jordan and I picked up lunch from McDonald's and went to Lexi's school to eat with her.  We had a  couple of gift cards for McDonald's so it worked out well.  Jordan got to see the lunch room again and Lexi got to eat with us.

Church Fun Run

The church hosted a fun run today.  We could sign up for the family 1 mile walk/run, the 5-k, or just go and enjoy ourselves.  I had been suffering from a horrible sinus infection, so I chose the part about enjoying ourselves.  They had bouncy castles, games, popcorn, and lot of our friends there like Avery pictured below with Lexi.

Little Walk

It was a great evening for a walk, so we headed out.  We walked around the backside of the junior high near us.  It is one of the only places that has a dirt road.  They like to gather rocks and explore.  Since we've had some rain lately, the kids enjoyed looking at the drying mud.

Texas Outfit

Sometimes it is just fun to see what kind of outfits Lexi wears.

Camden's 8th Birthday

We went to Camden's birthday party to celebrate his 8th birthday.  He loves Ninjago, so that was the theme.  He dressed up as Master Sinsei.  We had fun at their house and also played kickball.

First Graders' Frontier Night

This evening, we went to Lexi's school for Frontier Night. We invited her dad to come along with us.  It is the night where the first graders demonstrate what they've learned about Texas. They were asked to dress in Western wear.  She has been talking about it and practicing the songs for days.  She couldn't wait to show us her PowerPoint presentation, storyboard, artwork, friends, and all the work that went into this.

Goodbye to Another Bottom Tooth

Lexi lost another tooth from the bottom.  The real news would be if the top one came in.  We've been waiting for it to come in since it fell out in November.  Fortunately, we can see the new one, but it just hasn't emerged through the gums quite yet.

New Skirt from Grandma

Before Grandma left, she made Lexi this skirt.  Actually, Grandma re-fashioned it from another skirt/slip for adults.  It turned out really cute and looks great with Lexi's boots and jean jacket.  She loved wearing it today and got lots of compliments.

Back in Her Room

Grandma and Papa left this morning, which means that Lexi got to sleep in her own room again.  While they have been here, Lexi has been sleeping in Jordan's room with him.  I've been sleeping in her room and Grandma & Papa have been in my room.  I made her bed with the new quilt.  She was very excited.

Easter Gifts

Lexi and Jordan spent Easter weekend with their dad.  He took them camping out at the Stephen F. Austin State Park on Friday night.  They had a big breakfast and an egg hunt the next morning.  The Easter bunny visited them on Sunday.  When they got back on Sunday evening, my mom and I gave them a few gifts.  Grandma Margie gave Lexi these pink pants.  Grandma has a pair of red ones that Lexi liked, so when Grandma found these she had to get them for her.

Lexi said a tearful goodbye to Grandma and Papa.  They are heading back to California. Lexi wore the pants to school today.

Posh Room

Grandma and Papa have been helping us fix a few things around the house while they have been here.  They have also tackled a huge project - Lexi's room.  She had a rather dull room.  It had green paint on the wall and nothing really matchy, matchy.  They painted her walls a light gray and hung up decorations.  Grandma also made her a new quilt for her bed and a hot pink valance for her window. Now, it is all stylish.
