Typhoon Texas

We went to Typhoon Texas today with a bunch of friends from church. We all had friends in our age group. Lexi had fun with Eliza, Rachel, and Elizabeth.

Camp Journey

Lexi has been volunteering at Camp Journey (http://www.journeyadventures.org/) this summer. She has gone a few times anyway. Today, I took pictures as she sat in the car before the morning shuttle was there. She took pictures of two dogs and a pony out at the camp. It is such a great experience for her to serve others. She also is friends with several of the volunteers. Some days it is 12:30 to 5 pm. This week, it is 9 am to 5 pm.

Swing Dancing

This evening for the youth church activity, they brought in a couple to teach swing dancing. We had two wards (congregations) meet together to pull it off. They kept the kids rotating so it wasn't so awkward for them.

Benjamin was giving me the stink eye because he thought I was video taping him. Nope, just snapping pictures of everyone.

BDJH Cheer Camp

Lexi had another cheer camp this week. Fortunately, it was just her team at her school, which is very close. The 7th graders were there from 10 am to 4 pm.

Faith West

Lexi and Jordan went to Faith West with their friends. They had fun climbing, swimming, zip lining, and jumping on the bouncy floats. 

Third Day of UCA Camp

It was another long day of UCA cheer camp. In addition to practice all day, they had a showcase for their friends and family tonight. They got to wear their uniforms for the first time and put on a show. 

When it was all over, the families went to Ruby's to load up on bbq. Grandma Margie came with us. 

Second Day of UCA Cheer Camp

 

It was the second day of UCA camp. After cheering there from 9 am to 5 pm, the team had to go to Woodlands Elite for their weekly cheer practice with their coaches. It was a very long cheer day for these girls. 

First Day of UCA Cheer Camp

It was the first day of UCA Camp. The district brings in professionals to teach all the different Junior High teams how to do stunts, cheers and a dance. It is from 9 am to 5 pm everyday. They have to work really hard with very few breaks, but Lexi loves it. 

Alamo

The Alamo Draft house just built a brand new theater closer to us. They have been working on training before the grand opening, so we got tickets to see Incredibles 2. The food is the best part of Alamo Draft house. We ordered mozzarella sticks and popcorn. The seats were the big reclining ones. We definitely like it. 

Surprise Kidnapping

Lexi had quite the surprise this morning. The 8th grade cheerleaders kidnapped the 7th grade girls for a breakfast at Chic-fila and a swim party. At the party, they got their backpacks with their uniforms, t-shirts, shorts, bows, and more that they'll need this week for the UCA camp.
