Pioneer Camp

This week, my friend Tiffany hosted Pioneer Camp. The kids were doing crafts and activities at her house on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We all went swimming on Tuesday and Thursday. I'm sure it exhausted her, but they had an amazing time and learned so much. They even made butter. What a great experience.

I took a bunch of pictures of the kids being silly. I was entertaining them while Tiffany prepared lunch. Kids just love to perform for the camera. All of them got into it except for Jordan. He loves all the toys they have in their house and didn't want to be bothered with the camera. Lexi tried to teach them how to go cross-eyed.

Church Talent Show 2011

Our church had a talent show this evening. They have been passing around sign-up sheets for the past few weeks. Lexi asked me if I would sign her up. They had the option of doing a display or performing. I signed her up for a display. I knew there was no way I could take the time to work on a performance with her. She wanted to perform, but settled for doing artwork. I told her to make pictures of pioneers, since July is the month we celebrate them. Plus, our friend is running a pioneer summer camp for the kids this week. I think the pictures look great. She got lots of compliments and even a gold medal. We enjoyed watching the performances although none of them were outstanding and some were definitely not very good. Perhaps next year, we'll try to put one together for her.

Drawing Queen

Lexi completely loves drawing and doing crafts. I don't like collecting her millions of pictures, so I get out my camera & snap photos of them before I throw them away. That way, we are keeping them without the mess. I thought we'd share them on her blog.

Church Ready

This morning before heading to church, I wanted to take a few pictures. It is always more fun to take pictures when they are looking so cute. I especially loved Lexi's hair. Yesterday after her bath, I gave her two french braids. I took them out this morning to this beautiful wave.

Tie-Dye

The tie-dye shirts from the 4th of July turned out great! The kids love them. I just wanted to post a follow-up picture.

4th of July Celebration

We had a great 4th of July thanks to friends. We were invited to a pot-luck barbeque brisket dinner in the evening. After eating delicious food, the kids made 4th of July hats. They took turns making them, so I was in charge of playing bingo to keep the others entertained. Once they were done, we all headed to the mall parking lot to watch the fireworks and met up with even more friends.

4th of July Morning

This morning, we were invited to our friends’ house to make tie-dye t-shirts. The kids were very excited, but mostly because they just love spending time with their friends. The guys helped the kids make the shirts, while the chics were inside helping them do crafts and eat lunch. Of course, the kids also found time to play.

Pirate Camp Last Day

Today's Pirate Camp was by far the best. We did lots of crafts, hung pirate flags, and had lots of fun. I even took LOTS of pictures. Sadly, my memory card was blitzed. Luckily, I took the picture above with my phone. It doesn't even compare to all the amazing ones I took with my camera, but it is something.
