Rock-n-Roll Shirt

Usually, Jordan is the one that has to copy Lexi. Some times though, he decides he is going to do something and she makes sure she isn't left out. For our Friday night dinner, he wanted to wear his rock-n-roll shirt. She had to follow. I picked out this shirt that Grandma made for Papa's 60th birthday party. They were both happy.

SeaWorld...

We kept it light on Thursday when we went to SeaWorld. I didn't carry much, so the pictures I have are from my phone. Lexi had been wanting to ride the rollercoaster, but I can't take her if someone doesn't come with us because Jordan is too short. Lucky for her, Paige has been wanting to go too.

Sand Sculpting

This afternoon, we went to Imperial Beach to check out their annual Sand Sculpting contest. It was just the kids and me. I thought it was going to be much better than it was and I guess LOTS (& lots & lots & lots) of people had the same thing in mind. Unfortunately because of the crowds, we had to park over a mile and a half away, which is far with kids. I dragged them on the long walk to the beach. When we finally got there, it was so packed that we had to weave our way through too many people to see anything. This type of situation is a nightmare with two little ones who want to run to look at things. I had to hold on tightly and fight the crowd.

So... we didn't see much before I gave up and dragged them all the way back to the car. After half a mile, Jordan complained about his shoes. I noticed he had a blister, so I picked him up. He fell asleep pretty quickly. I carried him all the way back to the car while trying to keep Lexi motivated to walk. We'll be skipping this one next year.

Our Favorite Place

Took the kids to Seaworld on Thursday evening... (surprise) Later, my mom met up with us.

Lexi announced (loudly) she could do this:

Pool Time

We are trying to spend time at the pool because it is fun, good exercise, wears the kids out, and so that Lexi can continue working on her swimming skills. She is coming along very well.

Pancake Breakfast

This morning, we went to a fund raiser pancake breakfast at a park in La Jolla. It was for the Kiwanis Club. We had breakfast and then Lexi and Jordan rode the ponies, jumped in the jumpy castle, played on the playground, listened to live music, and did a craft.

Meteor Crater in Arizona

Yesterday afternoon, we stopped at Meteor Crater in Arizona. Lexi and Jordan were completely fascinated by it, much more than I thought they would be. They also loved the 15 minute movie that seemed a bit boring and too academic for the setting to me. I wanted more Hollywood thrill. They walked out of the little theater talking like experts. Lexi ran up to each exhibit to explain it to us. She talked about how the meteors crash into things and how the moon is probably a meteor that collected other materials. Needless to say, she was thrilled by the experience.
